Parent Classroom Helpers/Volunteers
Parent classroom helpers are an excellent way to share knowledge, talents and manpower. I have had the joy of having parents join our class as supervisors on field trips, arts and crafts as well as expertise and knowledge as guest speakers regarding curriculum based materials. I have used Geologists in Science, world travelers in Social Studies, Authors in Language Arts, Physiotherapist in Science, Artists in Art, truck drivers for drivers and numerous chaperon for field trips. I have used retired community members as volunteers for Declamation Judges as well as Pysanka decorating and speakers. They are a wealth of knowledge and most often very happy to come in.rts

School Spirit Days (Nerd Day)
Once a month we have a theme for School Spirit Days. I really enjoy participating and find it a great way to get to know the students in other classes and divisions better.

Declamation Contest Master of Ceremonies 2014
I was the Master of Ceremonies for the annual St. Thomas More School Declamation contest. My responsibilities were to introduce speakers, judges and announce winners. It was a privilege to be a part of such a great learning experience for the children.
